General Characteristics (Job Summary)
- Shall be responsible for the pre and post inspections of all equipment’s/Temporary camp & Office/site connections during construction for its electrical integrity and compliance with project and international standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Establishing random & periodic inspection plans and maintaining of record forms as per project requirements and international codes & standards.
- Ensuring inspection status is controlled through efficient tools.
- Be pro-active and strive to find potential risks and take preventive actions.
- Directly report all deviations noticed to direct EHSS reporting authority and executing team for implemented corrective actions.
- Ensure all equipment’s comply with regard to electrical standards.
- Works hand in hand with different teams and personnel on the assigned task.
- Supervise, inspect, and sign inspection certificates for all equipment’s/panels/devices incompliance with the established Project guidelines.
- Ensure load bearing capacities for each electrical equipment complies.
- Ensure a periodic inspection schedule established, communicated, and complied with by sub-contractors.
- Ensure only connections and equipment’s used are complying with industrial standards.
Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in projects as Electrical Inspector or Supervisor.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in construction field.
- Project based experience in or with EHSS gained in Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industry.
Knowledge
- Be through with specifications to be met during construction phase for all temporary electrical connections and equipment’s.
- Relevant competency and International Certifications as applicable.
Language Skills required
- Writing and speaking skills in English.
