This is a 3rd shift position. Work hours are 10:30pm-6am
Maintenance Technician Level 1 performs routine maintenance support of production equipment and machine building. Trouble-shoots and repairs equipment electrical and/or mechanical malfunctions. Performs electrical, mechanical, plumbing and pipefitting work associated with the installation of equipment. Performs preventative maintenance. Assists in the building of new production equipment according to blueprints and schematics.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Responds to written work orders describing in varying detail electrical and/or mechanical problems with the production equipment. Communicates with the equipment operator and other maintenance technicians from other shifts to obtain information concerning production equipment malfunctions. Trouble-shoots equipment problems and seeks to bring the equipment back in service as soon as possible.
• Performs preventative maintenance on production equipment (using established PM checklists) according to schedule determined by Maintenance Coordinator and Manager, Process Maintenance. Completing supporting documentation properly. May be teamed with a maintenance technician of another level to be trained on various phases of equipment maintenance.
• Assists other maintenance technicians, engineers or engineering technicians in the building of various production equipment such as, laser tables, printers, collators, stackers, and fabrication equipment. Read blueprints to assemble parts; reads simple schematics to wire electrical systems.
• Knowledge of ISO programs including maintenance department Procedures, Work Instructions, and document locations.
• Enter work orders into CMMS (computerized maintenance management system). Manages all incoming RGA/Repair requests and distributes to appropriate personnel throughout the WFD campus. Serve as a consultant to help evaluate product returns in accordance with established procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS AND KSA’S FOR EMPLOYMENT
Acceptable training and experience: Two years technical trade school and two years practical experience, or four years practical experience in maintenance disciplines. A high school diploma or equivalent is required
