Position Summary
We are seeking a Machine Operator – Extrusion (Spanish-speaking) who is responsible for operating and adjusting extrusion equipment to meet product specifications and production targets. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe operations, accurate record-keeping, and consistent product quality.
We work 12-hour shifts (either days or nights, No rotating) on a 2-2-3 schedule, which gives every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off.
Key Responsibilities
Perform startup and shutdown procedures for assigned extrusion linesOperate and adjust extruders, haul-offs, saws, dies, heaters, and cooling systems to maintain required product dimensions and qualityMonitor machine controls and modify RPM, temperature, and die settings as neededConduct continuous on-line inspections and verify finished product prior to inventory releaseMaintain detailed and accurate electronic production records and machine settingsSupport process optimization efforts to improve output and reduce scrapAssist in training lower-level operators and reinforce standard operating proceduresMaintain a safe and orderly work environment in compliance with all policies
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalentSpanish-speaking required to effectively communicate operational instructions and collaborate with production team membersAbility to operate extrusion equipment and interpret machine control systemsBasic computer proficiency for production data entryMechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine adjustments and die changesAbility to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and perform physically demanding production tasks
Preferred Qualifications
Prior extrusion machine operation experienceExperience in temperature-controlled manufacturing processesExperience training or mentoring production team members
Physical Demands
Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and manual handling of materialsOccasional bending, stooping, and kneelingRegular lifting up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting up to 50 poundsVisual acuity required for detailed product inspection
