Innophos is seeking a Maintenance Multi-Trades Craftsperson to fill a role in our Chicago, Illinois facility. The Maintenance Multi-Trade is responsible for the maintenance and installation of plant equipment including mechanical, electrical and instrumentation throughout the plant.

2nd Shift: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for performing the necessary work to repair, adjust and perform preventative maintenance to all plant equipment, to ensure smooth and consistent operation of equipment.Involved in the installation and repairs of electrical systems, apparatus and electrical and electronic components of the industrial machinery, instrumentation, and auxiliary equipment. This may include removing and replacing components, projects can include bending conduit, pulling wire, making connections and trouble-shooting electrical issues. May include elevated work requiring use of ladders, hi-lifts or scaffolds.Conducts basic rounds daily throughout production plant, control rooms, packaging areas and warehouses to discuss with operators any issues; checks instrumentation such as but not limited to temperature and pressure gauges, temperature of the cooling tower, main air compressor status and operation.Typical work can include changing drive belts, changing out motors and/or gearboxes and pumps. Other equipment maintained includes screw and belt conveyors, dust collectors and other mechanical conveying equipment. This includes the installation of new equipment.Work may include frequently working in hot & cold conditions and possibly in awkward postures for prolonged periods of time.Desired skillset includes experience replacing motors, ensuring proper alignment and tolerances using feelers, gauges, shims, etc. Motors, pumps and other equipment and tools are lifted and carried as needed. Maneuvers around equipment and will be working both inside and outside as needed by the repair. Experience with stick welding and using acetylene torch highly desired.May be performing minor repairs to heavy equipment such as forklifts, spotter truck, Track Mobile, etc. and test drive to determine problems.Also responsible for making repairs to buildings and facility structures as needed.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or General Education DiplomaSpecialized training (trade school, apprenticeships, etc.) preferredMinimum 3 years of multi-craft experience required
