Sprig is looking for a People Operations Manager to help build and scale the people infrastructure behind a fast-growing company. This role sits at the center of how we hire, support, and develop our team as we grow toward the next stage of the business.
You will operate as a true HR generalist, supporting the full employee lifecycle from recruiting coordination and onboarding to employee support, performance processes, and people programs. You’ll help ensure that our people systems, policies, and day-to-day operations run smoothly and consistently as the company grows.
This is an ideal role for someone who has early experience in HR or People Operations and is ready to take on broader ownership. You should be comfortable balancing operational work with employee-facing responsibilities, and enjoy creating structure, clarity, and great employee experiences.
You’ll partner closely with leadership, recruiting, and managers across the company to ensure that Sprig continues to attract great people, support them well, and operate with strong, thoughtful people practices.
This is an in-office position requiring five days per week in ourvibrant and busy downtown San Francisco office, conveniently located steps away from Montgomery BART/MUNI.
Own core people operations processes: Manage day-to-day People and HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, employee record management, and HR systems.
Support the employee lifecycle: Help ensure smooth and consistent processes across hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, promotions, and employee transitions.
Partner with recruiting: Work closely with the recruiting team to coordinate offers, prepare onboarding experiences, and ensure new hires ramp successfully.
Maintain HR systems and data: Manage employee data, documentation, and reporting across systems, ensuring accuracy and operational efficiency.
Support employee experience programs: Help execute company initiatives including engagement programs, culture initiatives, and internal events.
Ensure compliance and policy clarity: Maintain internal policies, support compliance with State and Federal employment regulations, and help ensure consistent application across the organization.
Be a trusted employee resource: Provide thoughtful support to employees and managers on day-to-day HR questions, policies, and people processes.
Manage our employee workspaces: Be the main point of contact with building management in SF and NYC and make sure our employees have what they need to be successful.
Early career HR generalist experience: 4-6 years of experience in People Operations, HR, or HR generalist roles within a growing company.
Strong operational instincts: You are organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple processes and priorities simultaneously.
Employee-focused mindset: You care about creating thoughtful employee experiences and supporting teams with clarity and consistency while operating to minimize risk to the company.
Strong communication skills: Able to work effectively with employees, managers, and leadership on people-related questions and processes.
Judgment and discretion: Comfortable handling highly sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
Startup adaptability: You’re comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where processes evolve and ownership is shared.
Execution-focused: You enjoy building structure, improving processes, and ensuring important operational details don’t slip through the cracks.

The salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 - $150,000 + Equity + Benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all locations (San Francisco, CA; New York, NY). Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
