Piping Supervisor
General Characteristics (Job Summary)
- Supervise, manage and support subcontractor to proceed with construction effectively in accordance with project specification under safe condition.
- The incharge of the construction in each discipline.
- Tie-in planning, preparation and execution.
- Piping fabrication shop control and on time completion.
- Inter connection piping fabrication and installation (Hydraulic line etc.).
- Coordination with PMT and project client regarding critical issues at work site.
- Join mechanical and construction completion walk through with client and punch closing.
- Ensure project permit system is followed completely and all safety requirements are complied at work site
- Pressure test package control and work execution (pneumatic / hydro).
- Ensure pre-com activities are completed and involve in commissioning and start-up activities.
- Ensure work is carried out with the witness, inspection and surveillance checks in accordance with the quality plan and the requirements of the quality control manager.
- Supervise and ensure safe condition at construction site in cooperation with safety department.
- Supervise and ensure construction quality in accordance with project specification and ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
- Ensure necessary construction drawings and materials in advance of construction implementation.
- Manage construction progress by checking daily, weekly and monthly work done quantities.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly construction report.
- Prepare construction M/S (Method Statement) based on specification and requirements.
- Record B/P (Best Practice) and L/L (Lessons Learned).
- Coordinate with other disciplines or departments to resolve interface issues.
- Attend meeting with sub-con/Client regarding work schedule & progress.
- Ensure material preservation to avoid any damages especially on flange surface.
- Steam tracing test package control and wok execution.
- Supervise and ensure special item installation - Locking device, Fire extinguisher, sampling system etc.
Qualifications
Postgraduate diploma in process piping design & drafting
Experience
- Construction experience in an oil / gas / petrochemical or power plants as piping supervisor.
- Working experience in Middle East as a piping supervisor.
- Engineering & Construction Company working experience in Middle East is preferred.
Knowledge Required
- Professional knowledge in construction management and engineering standards.
- Computer application ability (MS Office)
