Due to continuous growth and expansion, Pharmathen Pharmaceuticals offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to recruit a Plant Finance Lead for the Financial Planning & Reporting Department in our Sapes premises.
The Plant Finance Lead leads financial management for the pharmaceutical manufacturing site. The role partners with Plant Leadership, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain to drive financial performance while monitoring the targets set by the management.
More particularly:
What you will do:
- Lead site budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close
- Analyze manufacturing costs, yields, variances, scrap, and quality-related expenses
- Partner with Operations and Quality to support compliant and efficient production
- Oversee inventory valuation, expiry risk, and working capital
- Support capital investment planning, ROI analysis, and capex tracking
- Ensure strong financial controls and support audits and inspections
- Provide actionable financial insights to plant and corporate leadership
- Follow Company's Quality Policy and comply with current operational standards and legislative requirements
- Work in accordance with the requirements of the written Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, Technical Directives and Protocols of the company's Quality System, that are related to the duties of the described position
- Follow the rules of hygiene and control of health status as defined in the relevant Policies and Standard Operating Procedures
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
- MBA or Master’s degree and professional certification (CPA, CMA, CIMA) will be considered an asset
Minimum Experience:
Must-have requirements:
- 5+ years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated manufacturing experience
- Strong plant finance background
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- ERP experience (SAP or equivalent)
- Proven ability to partner with operations and senior plant leadership
Nice-to-have requirements:
- Experience supporting audits, SOX, or regulatory inspections
- API, biologics, sterile, or solid dosage manufacturing
- Lean manufacturing / Six Sigma / continuous improvement
- Experience with Power BI, Hyperion, or similar reporting tools
- People management experience
Job-Specific Skills:
- Excellent command of the Greek & English languages, both oral and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear communicator with non-finance stakeholders
- High integrity and attention to detail in regulated environments
- Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable in fast-paced plant settings
