All hiring decisions are made by our hiring team.
We’re hiring a Product Manager, Spend Management to join our growing Product team and help execute against Float’s roadmap within Spend Management and adjacent product areas.
This role is built for a high-growth, execution-focused Product Manager who thrives in startup environments and wants to sharpen their craft. You’ll operate within a defined strategy, partnering closely with Engineering and Design to ship high-quality, low-friction workflows that measurably improve key product and business metrics.
You won’t be expected to define company-wide strategy on day one. Instead, you’ll take ownership of meaningful product surface areas, drive disciplined execution, strengthen analytical clarity, and raise the quality bar within your domain. You’re responsible for defining how these features should look, feel, function to drive towards the metrics you’re accountable for.
This is an opportunity to build product depth at one of Canada’s fastest-growing fintech companies while learning directly alongside experienced product leaders.
Own features end-to-end from discovery through launch and iteration.
Translate business and customer problems into clear product requirements and user stories.
Partner closely with Engineering and Design to deliver intuitive, high-quality product experiences on time.
Manage dependencies, scope trade-offs, and delivery risks with clarity and accountability.
Execute within an existing roadmap aligned to defined outcome metrics.
Contribute structured input to prioritization conversations, clearly articulating trade-offs and impact.
Balance speed, quality, and commercial priorities within your domain.
Engage with customers and internal teams (Sales, CX, GTM) to understand workflow friction and unmet needs.
Identify and reduce high-friction experiences in B2B SaaS workflows (permissions, policy controls, bulk actions, integrations).
Incorporate customer feedback and insights into iterative product improvements.
Define and track success metrics for features and enhancements.
Analyze user behavior, funnels, and experiments to guide iteration.
Strengthen instrumentation and clarity of measurement in your product area.
Leverage AI tools to accelerate research, documentation, analysis, and planning.
Identify responsible, high-leverage AI use cases within the product experience.
Evaluate risks, data requirements, and guardrails when proposing AI-powered capabilities.
You independently own and deliver against a defined product area with minimal day-to-day direction.
You ship 1–2 meaningful improvements that measurably move a core KPI (activation, engagement, efficiency, or revenue).
You demonstrate strong execution discipline and stakeholder alignment.
You improve clarity around metrics and experimentation in your domain.
You are seen as a reliable, coachable, high-growth PM who consistently raises the bar.
You Put Customers First: You start with real user pain and workflow friction. You care deeply about usability and are able to distinguish between high- and low-friction experiences in B2B SaaS products.
You Act Like an Owner: You take responsibility for outcomes, not just output. You escalate risks with options and follow through on commitments.
You Have Strong Product Fundamentals: You have 2–4 years of hands-on B2B SaaS Product Management experience in a startup or scale-up environment. You’ve owned features end-to-end and delivered measurable impact.
You’re Analytically Strong: You are comfortable with metrics, experimentation, and working with data (SQL familiarity or strong partnership with data teams). You use evidence to inform decisions and are not afraid to change your mind when the data is clear.
You Have Good Product Judgment: You can differentiate good vs. bad design. You think in workflows and edge cases. You partner effectively with Design and Engineering to ship intuitive solutions.
You’re Coachable with High Growth Slope: You seek feedback, learn quickly, and actively improve your craft. You are resilient in ambiguity and energized by growth.
You’re Curious About AI: You use modern tools to improve your productivity and clarity. You are open-minded about how AI can enhance both product workflows and internal PM practices.
Nice to Haves:
Experience in fintech, spend management, or financial operations products.
Experience working on SMB-focused B2B SaaS products.
Exposure to permissions systems, policy engines, bulk operations, or integrations.
You prefer heavy direction rather than operating independently within defined scope.
You struggle to connect product work to measurable outcomes.
You avoid analytical work or decision-making based on data.
You resist new tools, feedback, or evolving workflows.
