Our mission at Avelios is to build the leading software platform for the data-driven digitization of hospitals and patient care. To do so, we have built a modular software platform that digitizes and optimizes workflows in hospitals with cutting-edge technology in a user-friendly way. With our software, we enable hospitals, doctors & nurses to provide their patients with the best possible care.
We are growing fast and want to keep expanding our team and business to fundamentally digitize healthcare for the better. We appreciate different backgrounds and see diversity as one of our strengths.
As a Program and Release Manager (all genders) you will bring structure and transparency to how we plan, track, and ship releases across Product, Engineering, Project, and DevOps. You own the operational backbone behind customer milestones and releases: translating scattered inputs into a reliable plan, making progress measurable, and ensuring we surface risks early so leadership can decide. Your work makes it easy for teams to contribute, align, and deliver on time and in high quality.
Coordinate cross-functional milestone planning with Product Managers and Engineering; track delivery and escalate risks early
Maintain an end-to-end release readiness overview (testing status, rollout steps, dependencies, blockers) and drive closure of open items
Coordinate with Project/Delivery teams on scope timing and ensure critical inputs (e.g., configurations) are clarified in time for planning
Own Jira rollout tracking: maintain rollout tasks, FixVersions, and consistent workflows that enable reliable reporting
Coordinate rollouts with DevOps; manage competing priorities and capacity constraints across customer projects
Build and maintain dashboards/reports (Jira and/or analytics tools) that show milestone progress, release status, and key risks
Relevant degree or equivalent experience (e.g. engineering, business, information systems) with strong operational/project track record
Proven ability to bring structure to chaos: you set up lightweight processes, keep an overview, and drive outcomes without creating bureaucracy
Strong stakeholder management: you collaborate across functions, follow up effectively, remove friction for contributors, and summarize complex status into decision-ready updates
Solid experience with Jira (workflows, boards, FixVersions, dashboards, reporting; JQL is a plus)
Practical understanding of software development processes, especially testing, release, rollout/deployment, and how dependencies affect delivery
Clear written and verbal communication; you can turn many moving parts into a crisp plan and narrative
Nice-to-have: experience in regulated or high-reliability software environments; familiarity with common release/incident practices; Confluence/reporting tool experience
Variety in your tasks and the opportunity to take ownership
An international, informal team structure in a motivating start-up atmosphere, allowing you to participate directly in our customer growth story and the overall success of Avelios
Ability to gain valuable hands-on experience in a startup backed by leading international VCs
