Cedar Park Med is hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for immediate full-time openings in a long-term care (LTC) nursing home in Montrose, NY.
This is a long-term assignment offering consistent scheduling and a supportive clinical environment, with strong on-the-ground support from our team. Start ASAP.
Shift / Schedule
- Day Shift: 7am-3pm
- Night shift: 11:00pm – 7:30am
- Full-time only (weekend rotations included)
- Long-term assignment
- Temp to perm available
Position Overview
In this LTC setting, the RN oversees resident care, completes assessments, supports care planning, and ensures safe clinical practices. This role requires strong clinical judgment, clear communication, and effective coordination with the interdisciplinary team to maintain continuity of care.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor residents’ conditions and update care plans as needed
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs on assigned units
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to support resident outcomes
- Educate residents and families on health management and care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality in accordance with facility standards
Required Qualifications
- Valid NY RN license
- Minimum 6 months of LTC experience
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain prior to start
- Compassionate, resident-focused care approach
- Reliable attendance in a structured care environment
