Cedar Park Med is hiring an Ultrasound Breast Imaging Sonographer for a weekday day shift assignment. This role is ideal for an experienced sonographer who is confident performing breast ultrasound studies and assisting with breast ultrasound biopsy procedures in a clinical imaging setting. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, maintaining quality standards, and communicating findings effectively with the radiologist.
Shift / Schedule
Position Overview
As an Ultrasound Breast Imaging Sonographer, you will be responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment and for performing diagnostic breast ultrasound examinations with accuracy and professionalism. This role includes supporting daily lab operations, maintaining equipment quality assurance standards, obtaining patient history, and communicating findings to the radiologist.
Responsibilities
Perform breast ultrasound examinations and assist with breast ultrasound biopsy procedures
Independently operate sonographic equipment and perform diagnostic imaging studies
Use sound clinical judgment to differentiate between normal and pathologic findings during examinations
Obtain appropriate patient medical history
Communicate sonographic findings to the radiologist
Support daily operations of the sonographic laboratory and patient schedule
Perform daily equipment maintenance and quality assurance checks
Maintain accurate, safe, and efficient imaging workflow
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an ultrasound program accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and the United States Department of Education (USDOE) in diagnostic medical sonography
RDMS certification in Abdominal and OB/Gyn required
Minimum 1 year of experience required
Breast ultrasound experience required
Breast ultrasound biopsy procedure experience required
Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
