Registered Nurse - RN - Operating Room

Cedar Park Med is hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for Adult OR areas for a 13-week assignment with possible extension. This role is ideal for experienced OR nurses who are confident working across a variety of surgical specialties in a fast-paced acute care setting. Candidates should have strong recent experience in general, ortho, trauma, neuro, and robotics cases and be comfortable supporting surgical teams with minimal orientation.

Shift / Schedule

• Mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
• 80 hours biweekly
• Every third weekend required
• No call
• 13-week assignment with possible extension

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the Adult OR with minimal orientation and supervision

• Support surgical procedures across general, ortho, trauma, neuro, and robotics service lines

• Perform patient assessments and prepare patients for surgery

• Maintain a safe and sterile surgical environment

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia staff, and the interdisciplinary team throughout procedures

• Monitor patients and respond to clinical needs during the perioperative process

• Document care, interventions, and patient status accurately

• Follow hospital policies, surgical protocols, and patient safety standards at all times

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State RN Registration

• Current BLS certification or ability to be recertified

• Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience

• Experience with general, ortho, trauma, neuro, and robotics cases
