We are seeking a technically exceptional Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team based in Darwin.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will play a critical role in safeguarding financial integrity across the organisation — ensuring reporting is accurate, compliant, and delivered to the highest standard.
This is a hands-on technical position offering strong visibility and influence across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monthly consolidated reporting — accurate, timely and dependable
- Support external audit coordination and management. Including timely accurate submission of all relevant documents, statements and disclosures
- Prepare and review all BAS, FBT and IAS returns in accordance with ATO regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to taxation, superannuation, and payroll compliance obligations.
- Fixed asset governance and asset register integrity
- Manage journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support the Financial Controller with analysis of financial performance, trends, and variances.
- Foster collaboration across DCOH departments (internally) and with external stakeholders, including KPMG, banking institutions, and hospitality representatives.
- ERP oversight and financial systems management, including JobPac.
Skills and Qualification:
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
- CA or CPA qualification or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Demonstrates strong technical accounting capability
- Have experience operating in multi-entity, multi-currency environments preferred
- Proven working experience as a senior member of a finance function with people management responsibilities.
- A background in construction, property development, or project-based environments is desired
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures in accordance with AASB and IFRS.
