Job Summary and General Characteristics
Oversee day-to-day operations on a construction site, manage and lead field personnel, ensure adherence to safety standards, project specifications, and construction schedules, develop and maintain project schedules, identify and resolve project issues, communicate with project stakeholders, maintain accurate project documentation, and manage project budgets.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Be responsible for Kick-off meetings manpower requirements (Scope of work for subcontractors with materials bulk assignment.
- Review and ensure all material take-off required is at minimum cost in respect with project standard and quality).
- Organize and manages construction organization for own discipline.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders, including attending meetings and providing regular progress reports.
- Manage daily construction activities and coordinate resources, equipment, and materials on site.
- Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to field personnel and subcontractors.
- Ensure that construction work complies with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and adjust schedules as necessary to meet project deadlines.
- Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and other project-related documents.
- Manage project budgets, including tracking costs, preparing cost estimates, and managing subcontractor payments.
- Educate and trains juniors consistently.
- Review and understand subcontract Agreement(Scope of Work, Terms and Conditions, Definition and Measurement) and manages claim from/to subcontractors.
- Develop team capacity to higher level, skill and management wise.
- Manage proper completion of each installation task.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or relevant field preferred.
Experience
- 12+ years of experience in construction projects (from project starts to completion).
- Extensive knowledge of project specifications and standards, and small to medium project experience.
- Experience in oil / gas / petrochemical or power plants as a superintendent.
- Engineering & Construction Company working experience.
Technical Skills / Competencies
- Comprehensive knowledge on construction management and engineering standards.
- Computer application ability (MS Office).
