As part of its development Volton strengthens its human resources in Athens and seeks a Trading and Markets Analysis Manager.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the company’s proprietary trading activities in energy markets with primary focus on Power, EU Allowances (EUAs), Natural Gas (TTF), Guarantees of Origin (GOs)
- Develop and mentor a team of traders, fostering a high-performance culture
- Oversee the daily trading operations and maintain high data integrity for auditability
- Contribute to the development of trading strategies
- Monitor energy markets and describe market dynamics
- Develop new analytic and forecasting tools
- Trade energy across European markets
- Communicate with brokers, counterparties, exchanges, auction offices, and other stakeholders
- Prepare and deliver periodic and ad-hoc reports
- Oversee budget calculations and cash flow monitoring
- Handle financial reconciliation
- Prepare and deliver PnL and KPI reports
- Monitor updates in energy market regulations (Greek and EU)
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with the Company’s framework and external regulatory requirements
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in energy markets trading or analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics or Mathematics
- Master’s degree in Economics or Energy will be considered a plus
- Trader certifications (Henex – Spot/Derivatives/Gas, EEX) will be considered an asset
- Experience in technical analysis and commodity trading
- Strong background in data analysis and machine learning techniques
- Proficiency in programming and database skills, preferably in Python and SQL
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
