As part of its development Volton strengthens its human resources in Athens and seeks a Legal Corporate Affairs Associate.
As a Legal Corporate Affairs Associate you will become a key part of our Legal Team. The position reports to the Manager of Legal Corporate Affairs Division (energy unit)
Responsibilities
- Handle corporate affairs matters, including BOD Minutes, corporate governance matters, corporate restructurings and transformations
- Cooperate closely and provide legal consultation to the company’s functions/departments
- Analyze and input data, collect and write legal documents (contracts, bond loans, regulatory compliance, etc) for internal or external circulation, towards the banking sector and other civil or private entities
- Interpret laws, rulings and regulations in the context of working on several legal documents
- Manage claims and litigation, negotiate potential settlements, coordinate with external law firms on litigation matters as required
- Negotiate, draw up, comment and conclude a broad variety of legal documents, in close cooperation with the company’s departments
- Provide reports on matters handled
Requirements
- 3 - 5 years of professional experience in the fields of corporate, commercial, banking and transaction law
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law; LL.M. Degree will be considered an asset
- Knowledge of the energy sector regulatory framework is highly desirable
- Working experience in a corporate environment (ideally in the energy sector) will be considered a plus
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
- Knowledge of MS 365/Office tools
