We are searching for an Underwriter to join our team. This is a pivotal hire for our vision to make property investment more accessible. You will be instrumental in deploying a new suite of innovative finance products in partnership with BuyAssociation (BA), driving stock volume across all of our sales channels.
To maintain our high-velocity culture and ensure seamless collaboration during the high-complexity launch phase, you will be expected to work from our Waterloo office 4 days per week. This physical presence is essential for real-time problem-solving as we integrate our teams and systems to hit our ambitious growth targets.
This is a rare opportunity to build a new product category and a high-performance team from the ground up. You will be architecting the processes that allow us to scale. You will play a central role in our 2026 strategic roadmap, acting as the critical bridge between our technical systems and capital deployment.
Architect and Execute Underwriting: Lead the underwriting and servicing for our new financial products.
Optimise and Scale: Manage the operational rollout to ensure market-leading performance.
Empower Distribution: Facilitate the uptake of our new products via our agent network.
Stakeholder Synergy: Collaborate closely with a high-profile leadership team to ensure high-complexity products are launched successfully in 2026.
Drive Technical Integration: we expect to use AI powered systems to make underwriting smart and scalable.
Performance Monitoring: Own the metrics that matter, reporting directly on core KPIs to the wider business and working with our finance team to report to our capital providers.
Possess 2+ years of underwriting and/or loan servicing experience within a fast-paced environment
Have direct, hands-on experience in regulated lending
Have a "Building Mindset" where you thrive when creating new products and systems from scratch rather than just maintaining the status quo
Are a metrics-driven professional, obsessed with "time to decision" and "capital deployment speed" to match our impact focussed culture
Are highly organised and detail-oriented, capable of navigating the high-complexity requirements of multi-layered capital deployment
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence internal stakeholders and external partners alike
