The role of Account Manager is designed for someone with knowledge of the New Zealand OOH/advertising industry. This is a REMOTE role, with regular support from the Australian based leadership team. This position will require travel to Australia for collaborative ANZ sessions, as well as regular market visits from the Australian leadership team for support.
Who you are
A growing knowledge of the OOH media landscape, including client and supplier news and activity.
3-5 years of experience.
Media agency or OOH vendor experience preferred.
The desire and ability to learn new markets and work with local teams across multiple regions.
A growth mindset with the confidence to apply this within your work.
Some experience delivering the highest standards of client service levels.
Some experience at negotiating pricing and booking campaigns.
The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
Some experience using various applications including database, spreadsheet, report writing, project management, graphics, word processing, presentation creation/editing, email communication.
What you’ll do
Media Planning & Buying
Effectively service day-to-day client interactions, support managers and team in handling inquiries, and proactively contribute to client and agency business growth by delivering against strategic objectives and KPIs. Ensuring an understanding of your clients’ strategies and objectives, and the KPIs billups must deliver for them.
Support the Client Development function with the creation of, or access to, materials or content.
Showcases strong understanding and execution of media planning and buying end-to-end process. Small-mid-level plan/project development/ownership, negotiations, building media owner and client relationships, managing client relationships with high-level oversight from line manager.
Project Management
Assist in managing shared file drive systems, ensuring all documents and content are appropriately saved and regularly updated. Compile, organise, and maintain accurate, up-to-date campaign files such as buy spec, decks, POP, etc.
Responsible for ensuring the timely activation of media campaigns for your clients - tracking campaign start dates and ensuring everything is ready to go live on time; liaising with relevant vendors to manage artwork delivery and approval processes.
Assist campaign reporting for your clients - accessing ‘Proof of Posting (POP)’ and Campaign Attribution, ensuring this is received by clients and/or their agencies in a timely fashion.
Ensure consistency and accuracy in work through the adoption and use of appropriate templates and guidelines. Delivering operational excellence as an individual.
Thought Leadership
Develop and grow your industry knowledge through (i) meeting and event attendance, (ii) company training, (iii) conducting site visits, and (iv) engaging with billups’ communication platforms. Sharing knowledge and best practices across the wider team and business.
Advocate and implement billups’ regional mission/vision/purpose, strategies, and services, across your clients.
