Company Overview
Cedar is creating the most significant innovation in home affordability since the 30-year mortgage. By reimagining the land lease as a consumer-first model, Cedar makes homeownership more accessible and sustainable for a wider range of buyers. We are actually solving home affordability at scale – this is one of the most pressing problems in our country today and we are fixing it. Our structure meaningfully reduces both the upfront cost of purchasing a home and monthly costs. We expand the path to ownership for people who have been locked out of traditional markets and help existing homeowners access their equity at cost well below existing solutions. Cedar is already making a substantial impact for homeowners and we have material backing from top investors. Join our fast-growing and high-preforming team as we fundamentally change how people buy homes and create a new institutional asset class.
About the Role
As a Cedar Home Advisor, you’ll be on the front lines of our consumer business, turning inbound demand into closed transactions and creating an exceptional customer experience from first touch to close. You will qualify and convert inbound leads, educate buyers on Cedar’s product in a clear, consumer-friendly way, and move clients through each stage of the funnel with urgency and precision.
You’ll also help build and activate new origination channels (mortgage brokers, loan officers, and realtors) by forming relationships, providing enablement, and generating repeat deal flow. This is a high-ownership role working directly under the Head of Sales.
What You’ll Do
Inbound Lead Management & Conversion
Respond rapidly to inbound leads (calls, form fills, email, SMS) and run structured discovery calls to understand goals, budget, timing, and financing situation
Outbound calls pitching Cedar to parties such as realtors, builders and lenders
Deliver clear, confident product explanations and guide buyers through the “why Cedar” decision
Handle objections with empathy and precision (e.g., ground lease questions, buyout questions, resale concerns) and translate complex terms into simple, accurate language
Book and run consultations, maintain consistent follow-up cadence, and drive next steps (documents, pre-qual, underwriting submission)
Pipeline & CRM Ownership (HubSpot)
Own HubSpot hygiene end-to-end: lifecycle stages, lead status, deal stages, tasks, notes, call logs, and next steps
Build/execute high-velocity follow-up sequences (email + call + text) and ensure no lead goes cold due to process gaps
Maintain a clean, accurate funnel that leadership can trust for forecasting and reporting
Identify drop-off points and propose improvements to scripts, automations, and handoffs
Transaction Progression & Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate between buyers, brokers/lenders, realtors, and Cedar teams to move files forward
Collect required documents and ensure clients are prepared for underwriting, disclosures, and closing steps
Partner with internal stakeholders (Underwriting, Transaction Ops, Legal, Product) to ensure smooth file progression and fast issue resolution
Keep stakeholders informed with proactive updates, timelines, and expectations
Broker/Realtor Origination & Channel Growth
Build and maintain relationships with producing mortgage brokers/loan officers and realtors to generate recurring inbound referrals
Deliver partner enablement: short trainings, refreshers, “how to position Cedar” guidance, and deal packaging support
Track partner performance, follow up on warm opportunities, and help turn relationships into active channels
Support webinars/events/outreach campaigns with partners to increase awareness and inbound volume
Sales Reporting, Insights & Continuous Improvement
Track and report weekly KPI performance (speed-to-lead, contact rate, booked calls, conversion rate, time-to-close, partner-sourced deals)
Share frontline insights to improve product positioning, FAQs, collateral, and customer journey
Help test and refine talk tracks, objection handling, and funnel experiments (landing pages, calculators, sequences)

Why Choose Cedar?
Take real ownership early — the work is not theoretical
Grow through direct feedback, rigorous debate, and steep responsibility
Be pushed to develop judgment, not just skills
Build a track record that compounds — responsibility scales with performance
Cedar is built for people who want to operate at a very high level on work that matters. We run a true owner’s culture: high standards, direct feedback, fast iteration, and accountability to outcomes. You’ll have real responsibility early, you’ll be expected to think—not just execute—and you’ll be surrounded by teammates who push hard and care deeply about excellence.
This is not a company for people who need perfect clarity, gentle consensus, or predictable routines. The pace is fast, the problems are complex, and the bar is high. But the upside is rare: steep growth, meaningful autonomy, and the chance to do career-defining work with a team that treats the mission seriously and rewards success well.
If you want comfort, you won’t like it here. If you want to build, learn, and win—Cedar is the place.
