POSITION SUMMARY
The Digital Marketing Intern will support the Empire State Realty Trust (ESRT) marketing team and gain hands-on exposure to digital marketing strategy, campaign execution, and marketing analytics. The intern will contribute to initiatives across email and SMS marketing for the Empire State Building Observatory (ESBO) and ESRT’s Office, Retail, and Residential real estate divisions. They will assist with campaign planning, marketing automation, and performance analysis, while supporting both creative and data-driven marketing projects that enhance audience engagement and improve the effectiveness of ESRT’s digital communication channels.
Part-time: 20-25 hours per week

RESPONSIBILITIES
ESRT & ESBODevelop new email and SMS content that drives engagement and conversions across ESBO and ESRT’s Office, Retail, and Residential Real Estate divisionsPropose new topics for future campaigns that target current and prospective observatory guests and real estate brokersRecommend strategies, tactics, and best practices to optimize email and SMS performanceCollaborate with in-house design team to enhance email templates tailored to different audience segmentsPartner with the IT department to support and execute email-related projects and technical requestsCurate and source images from the Data Asset Management platform for various business needsMaintain email and SMS campaign calendarsAssist in the creation of presentations and other marketing assetsResearch competitors, industry trends, and relevant topics to identify new email marketing opportunitiesMonitor, report, and analyze key campaign metrics to inform decision-makingConduct audits of ESRT and Empire State Building Observatory materials to ensure accuracy and consistency across email and SMS campaignsESRT Manage and organize new email marketing requests from the ESRT property management and leasing teams (Retail & Office) to maintain smooth workflows and timely executionCollaborate with office and retail leasing agents to provide current marketing materialsMaintain and manage contact lists for ESRT’s leasing team within SalesforceProvide the latest email content to Digital Marketing manager for paid eblast placementsESBODevelop content for ESB’s email and SMS programs, including weekly lighting, celebrity visitor, and event eblasts, as well as newsletters, aligned with the team’s content calendarSupport the execution and rollout of ticket confirmation emails associated with new offeringsUpdate and maintain ticket confirmation emails to reflect our current offers and information
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
