Summary: Huda Beauty is seeking a creative, detail-obsessed, and customer-centric Design Lead for eCommerce to elevate our digital brand presence across all online touchpoints. Reporting to the Global Marketing eCommerce Director, this role will own the visual execution of our eCommerce experience, from website UX/UI and merchandising design to campaign assets, promotional storytelling, and conversion-driving creative.
The ideal candidate blends strong conceptual design thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring every digital asset reflects our brand DNA while supporting commercial objectives. They will oversee our eCommerce design roadmap, partner closely with Marketing, Product, CRM, and Merchandising, and manage a Graphic Designer to deliver high-impact creative that enhances customer experience, engagement, and conversion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Creative Strategy & Digital Experience
- Define and lead the design vision for hudabeauty.com, ensuring all digital touchpoints (homepage, PLPs, PDPs, landing pages, navigation, routines, merchandising content) deliver a premium, branded, and conversion-led experience.
- Translate business objectives, trading priorities, and customer insights into elevated design solutions that enhance engagement and performance
Site Design & Campaign Execution
- Own creative for homepage updates, launch pages, promotions, bundles, gifting, and evergreen content.
- Ensure all assets are optimized for mobile, UX, and commercial performance.
Brand & Creative Alignment
- Partner with the Director of Design to ensure all eCommerce assets reflect brand guidelines.
- Uphold design excellence while pushing innovation across all digital touchpoints.
Creative Production Management
- Manage end-to-end design workflow, from intake and prioritization through execution and QA.
- Maintain high-quality output delivered on time for trading, launches, and key commercial periods.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Creative, Marketing, Paid, CRM, Social, and Product to adapt 360° campaigns for eCommerce.
- Ensure consistency across channels while tailoring assets for on-site storytelling and conversion.
- Identify enhancements to navigation, conversion, and content storytelling through design.
Leadership & Team Management
- Manage and mentor the Junior eCommerce Designer to ensure strong execution and creative growth.
- Foster a collaborative, efficient, and innovation-driven design process.
New Product Launches
- Lead the creative direction and on-site design execution for all new product launches.
- Ensure launch assets are brand-aligned, high-impact, and delivered for go-live.
Key Commercial Periods & Major Campaign Creative
- Own creative execution for key commercial periods and high-impact campaigns.
- Deliver compelling, high-converting assets and oversee specialist shoot creative
Requirements
- 6–8 years' experience in digital design, eCommerce creative, or UX/UI, ideally within beauty, fashion, or consumer brands.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating elevated brand design, UX/UI excellence, and high-impact campaign execution across digital touchpoints.
- Proven experience leading designers or freelancers, with the ability to mentor, review work, and uphold creative standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and eCommerce CMS platforms with solid understanding of UX principles and design systems.
- Experience using Generative AI tools to support rapid asset development, concepting, and creative production workflows.
- Deep brand and visual storytelling expertise with strong attention to craft, consistency, and premium execution.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally across eCommerce, Marketing, Creative, and Product teams.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects, tight deadlines, and fast-paced production environments.
