About the Role
As a Front End Engineer, you will join a frontend sportsbook development team focused on delivering high-quality, scalable web applications. This role sits at the intersection of performance, usability, and modern frontend engineering.
You will work closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to build responsive, high-performance user interfaces using
Vue.js or React, contributing directly to the reliability and user experience of customer-facing products.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain frontend applications using Vue.js or ReactCollaborate with designers, product managers, and backend developers to translate requirements and user stories into clean, maintainable codeBuild responsive, mobile-first interfaces with strong cross-browser compatibilityOptimise web applications for speed, scalability, and performanceEnsure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and contribute to usability improvementsWrite clean, modular, and reusable code with a strong focus on maintainabilityIntegrate frontend applications with backend services using REST APIs and GraphQLParticipate in code reviews and contribute to frontend testing practicesTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues efficientlyStay up to date with modern frontend technologies, tools, and best practices
Requirements
4+ years of professional experience as a Front End Engineer or similar roleBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experienceStrong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3Hands-on experience with Vue.js and/or React in production environmentsSolid understanding of Node.js and real-time communication technologies such as WebSockets or Server-Sent Events (SSE)Experience integrating frontend applications with backend services via REST APIs and GraphQLStrong understanding of responsive design and mobile-first developmentKnowledge of web performance optimisation techniquesExperience using Git or similar version control systemsFamiliarity with state management and architectural patterns such as MVVM, Flux, or Redux
Nice to Have
Experience working on high-traffic or consumer-facing web platformsExposure to sportsbook, gaming, or real-time data-driven applicationsFamiliarity with frontend testing frameworks and automated testing practicesExperience contributing to design systems or shared UI component librariesInterest in continuously improving frontend performance and developer experience
