As the Head of Business Intelligence, you will lead the company’s data and insights strategy to empower data-informed decisions across all business units. This role is both strategic and hands-on, responsible for developing a data-driven culture, managing BI architecture, and overseeing a growing team of data professionals. You will serve as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders, turning complex data into clear recommendations and actionable strategies that influence company direction.
- Define and drive the strategic direction of the Business Intelligence function across the organization.
- Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing BI team, including BI Managers and data specialists.
- Collaborate closely with the executive team and business leaders to translate organizational goals into measurable data insights and KPIs.
- Oversee development and execution of data infrastructure, including architecture, data governance, and reporting systems.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and secure data access for all decision-makers through scalable dashboards and reporting mechanisms.
- Drive continuous innovation in BI practices, including advanced analytics, AI/ML integration, and automation.
- Lead cross-functional data initiatives such as forecasting, revenue and cost analysis, customer segmentation, and product performance evaluation.
- Maintain and evolve the company’s BI tools and platforms to ensure alignment with evolving business needs.
- Promote a culture of data literacy and ethical use of data throughout the organization.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Business, or related field.
- Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CBIP, CISA, PMP, Six Sigma) strongly preferred.
Experience:
- 8–10+ years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Strategy roles.
- Minimum 2 years in a leadership role managing managers or leading company-wide data functions.
- Demonstrated experience in scaling BI functions in a tech or financial services environment.
Skills & Competencies:
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to influence at C-level.
- Expertise in BI and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Qlik) and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
- Strong grasp of data architecture, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Deep analytical thinking with a strategic mindset—able to balance business intuition with data rigor.
- Experience in building data governance frameworks and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights in a business-friendly way.
- Agile, collaborative, and results-oriented; capable of working in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
