Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred (not required)
Successful completion of electrical entrance exam
3–5 years of heavy industrial electrical maintenance experience
Strong understanding of shop mathematics, technical drawings, and precision measuring tools
Intermediate knowledge of:
AC/DC motor theory & troubleshooting with PLCs
Drives, electrical controls, and NFPA 70E
High-voltage power systems (≤ 480V)
Electrical schematics and motor theory
Proficient with common electrical maintenance tools
Key Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/electronic systems and controls.
Perform routine inspections to ensure equipment is operating within specifications.
Troubleshoot AC/DC motor controls, PLCs, electrical drives, and high-voltage systems.
Maintain shop machinery, mobile equipment, PLC networks, and cranes.
Service electrical components of pumps, motors, cranes, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Install and maintain electronically controlled equipment, including loop controls, distribution centers, programmable sequences, and control panels.
Balance loads and wire complex circuits.
Utilize diagnostic equipment such as digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing tools.
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
Interpret electrical schematics and blueprints at an intermediate level.
Provide technical support to maintenance and production teams as needed.
