Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Project Manager to oversee complex, high-value projects from post-order transfer through final delivery and customer acceptance. This senior-level role requires a strong background in managing manufactured electrical equipment, integrated or skid-based systems, or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
This position is based onsite in Marietta, Ohio, and works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure structured execution, effective communication, and on-time project completion.
The individual in this role will serve as the primary commercial lead for assigned projects, ensuring coordination across teams, maintaining strong customer relationships, and delivering on contractual and scheduling commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Ownership & Execution
Manage assigned projects from contract review through shipment and final acceptance
Act as the main point of contact for customers on all project execution and commercial matters
Lead internal kickoff meetings involving engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality teams
Develop, track, and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
Proactively identify risks, constraints, and scope changes, and drive timely resolution
Commercial & Contract Oversight
Review and interpret contracts, purchase orders, and scope documentation
Coordinate with sales teams on scope clarifications and change order management
Ensure alignment between quoted scope, engineering design, and final deliverables
Support invoicing milestones, shipping documentation, and customer acceptance activities
Cross-Functional Coordination
Serve as the central liaison across engineering, manufacturing, quality, logistics, and sales teams
Drive accountability and ensure execution across multiple departments
Maintain configuration control and ensure clear communication throughout project changes
Escalate issues when necessary while maintaining strong customer confidence
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Lead regular customer update meetings and provide consistent status reporting
Communicate effectively with both customer representatives and internal leadership
Manage expectations related to timelines, testing, logistics, and delivery
Represent the organization professionally in high-visibility project environments
Required Qualifications
7+ years of project management experience within electrical equipment manufacturing, infrastructure, or integrated power systems
Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects
Strong understanding of manufacturing-driven project delivery processes
Experience working directly with customers, EPC firms, or contractors
Ability to review and interpret contracts, schedules, and technical documentation
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
Ability to work onsite in Marietta, OH and collaborate with plant-based teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with integrated or prefabricated electrical systems
Background in mission-critical or data center projects
Familiarity with ERP systems and project tracking tools (e.g., M2M, Smartsheets, or similar)
Experience supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and coordinating delivery processes
