Title: Steel Shipping Supervisor
Location: Cocoa Beach, FL
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay rate: $25.00/hour (based on experience)
Position Overview
We are looking for a hands-on leader to manage steel movement and shipping operations within a fast-paced fabrication environment. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, safety-conscious, and experienced in material handling and shop logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate daily steel movement, staging, and workflow within the shop
Operate cranes and forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials as needed
Monitor and track incoming and outgoing inventory, ensuring accurate documentation
Train and guide team members on rigging practices, equipment usage, and safety procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while reinforcing safety standards
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in steel handling or industrial material movement (lead or supervisory experience is a plus)
Experience operating cranes and forklifts (certifications preferred)
Basic knowledge of rigging techniques and ability to interpret fabrication drawings
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
