Salary range: $62,000-$65,000. Placement within the range is typically based upon a review of skills, experience, and internal equity.
Hours per week: 37.5
Paid leave: 4 Weeks Vacation / 14 Flex Days per year

This role oversees the intake, disposal, and inventory management of all computer and audiovisual equipment for Academic Technology. Effective lifecycle management of technology is essential to a positive classroom experience, reducing failures and service disruptions while supporting other technical teams with readily available equipment.
The incumbent follows established internal processes to ensure compliance with asset reporting requirements and manages over 6,500 pieces of equipment annually. Due to this volume, a safety‑first approach and strong awareness of asset value are critical to protecting equipment, minimizing business risk, and safeguarding institutional reputation.

How you'll contribute
Track procurement activity by monitoring and logging Purchase Order (PO) information in Smartsheet and reconciling physical deliveries with digital records to ensure real‑time inventory accuracy
Receive, inspect, and verify all computers and peripheral purchases for Classroom Technology in accordance with established standard operating procedures
Unbox equipment, tag capitalized assets, and store hardware securely and in an organized manner
Receive and process all technology hardware returned from decant and relocation projects
Enter and verify all capitalized asset information in the central asset management database
Maintain accurate records of hardware movement, deployment, and configuration changes within departmental systems
Monitor hardware inventory levels and prepare and distribute monthly inventory reports
Assist with the physical deployment of technology, including assembly, cabling, and internal wiring of mobile laptop carts
Provide on‑site support during large classroom or office refreshes, including under‑desk cable management and peripheral setup
Coordinate hardware warranty claims and repair services with vendors and manufacturers
Own the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process for Dead on Arrival (DOA) equipment, from initial logging through vendor return
Process hardware disposal requests in compliance with asset disposal standard operating procedures
Coordinate disposal pickups with approved third‑party electronic recyclers
Manage and organize storage locations to ensure frequently used equipment is accessible
Strategically stage and pre‑allocate hardware for scheduled classroom refreshes and lifecycle replacement projects
Maintain awareness of asset security and ensure all SAIT technology assets remain physically secure and inaccessible to the public
Identify and report equipment, facility, and security deficiencies to the supervisor
Perform general housekeeping duties, including recycling handling and garbage removal
Complete special duties and project work as assigned
What you bring
Post secondary certificate in Information Technology or equivalent
1-2 years experience in a warehouse setting
CompTIA A+ Certification preferred
Comfortable working with a wide range of technology equipment
Experience with inventory management and shipping/receiving processes
Able to operate an industrial pallet jack safely
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and adapt quickly in a high‑volume support environment
Effective team collaborator with the ability to communicate across departments and levels
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Safety‑focused mindset
Proficient with computers and inventory tracking tools
Experience using basic hand and power tools for cabling and cart assembly
Familiarity with Smartsheet or similar collaborative tracking/database tools
