The Opportunity
Job classification: P2043 - Project Coordinator
Salary range: $110,000- $130,000. Placement within the range is typically based upon a review of skills, experience, and internal equity.
Hours per week: 37.5
Paid leave: 4 Weeks Vacation / 14 Flex Days per year

This role is a high-impact, fast-paced position at the intersection of advanced technology, industry engagement, and academic innovation within the School for Advanced Digital Technology (SADT). The successful candidate will serve as a strategic connector between emerging technologies, industry partners, and SAIT’s academic and applied learning ecosystem.
The incumbent will bring strong fluency across contemporary technology domains, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data and analytics, cloud technologies, and digital transformation in business, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives for diverse audiences. This role requires confidence in representing SADT externally, engaging with senior industry leaders, government, and community partners, and articulating the school’s value proposition in applied digital education.
Working closely with academic leadership, faculty, and external partners, the role will contribute to the planning and project management of new academic programming, stackable credentials, and micro-credentials aligned to workforce demand. The incumbent will support the end-to-end coordination of strategic initiatives, from concept development through execution, ensuring timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables are effectively managed.
In addition, this role plays a key leadership function in industry engagement activities, including partnership development, work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities, and signature events that showcase SADT’s students, faculty, and innovation capabilities. The position also supports SADT’s external presence through targeted marketing, communications, and thought leadership initiatives, including digital and social media engagement.
This is a highly dynamic role suited to a proactive, adaptable professional who thrives in ambiguity, demonstrates strong judgment, and can independently advance multiple initiatives in parallel. Success in this position requires a blend of technical credibility, project management expertise, public-facing confidence, and relationship-building capability.
How you'll contribute
Industry Connections & Technology Engagement:Build, grow, and maintain relationships with industry partners and key players across the institution. Facilitate and/or participate in internal and external industry events and conferences and thought-leadership events.Lead industry tours of SADT spaces, including in the Downtown Cyber RangeRepresent SADT in a senior-level industry, government, and community settings.Identify emerging technology trends and advise leadership.Expand WIL opportunities and project-based partnerships.Strategic Project Management & Academic Innovation:Coordinate high-priority strategic initiatives across SADTProvide project planning, tracking, and reporting for on-going and new projectsSupport development of micro-credentials, stackable credentials, and tech-driven programming.Collaborate with associate deans, academic leaders and curriculum teams.Maintain records of project process, by drafting proposals, briefing notes, and technical summaries.Improve internal processes to accelerate program developmentEnsure initiative alignment with SADT’s strategic goals.Event Planning, External Engagement & Digital Presence:Lead major innovation showcases, roundtables, launch events, and community engagements.For events, coordinate logistics, communications, and documentation.Amplify SADT’s innovation activity through marketing and communications.Oversee event-related digital and social media campaigns and engagement. Develop an annual events calendar supporting partner engagement and visibility.Support and engage leadership in external speaking and panel opportunities.Foster post-event engagement with partners.
What you bring
RequiredCompletion of a post‑secondary credential. Experience in post‑secondary. Experience in project coordination, industry engagement, or event management. PreferredBachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Technology, or related field. Project Management training or certification. Marketing or social media experience. Experience in digital technology sectors.
