Treering is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. This is an entry-level role focused on foundational accounting tasks and administrative financial support. The Junior Accountant will work closely with the Director of Finance to ensure accurate recordkeeping, timely processing, and organized financial documentation. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to learn, highly organized, and comfortable handling recurring, process-driven tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with accounts payable processing, including invoice entry and payment trackingSupport accounts receivable tasks, including applying payments and basic reconciliationHelp maintain organized financial records and digital documentationAssist with credit card and expense report reviewsPerform basic account reconciliations under supervisionSupport monthly close activities through data entry and checklist-based tasksHelp track vendor information and maintain updated recordsAssist with payroll-related administrative support as neededProvide ad hoc support to the Finance team on small projects and recurring tasksReview, verify, and process vendor invoices and employee expense reportsMatch invoices to purchase orders Ensure proper approvals and coding for all expensesReconcile the AP subledger to the general ledgerEnsure timely month-end close activities related to AP and ARReviewing, reconciling, and maintaining billing and collection reportsCommunicating with internal staff for invoice dispute resolutionOther duties as assigned
Qualifications
1–2 years of accounting or finance experienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or in progress)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsComfortable working in spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel)Basic understanding of accounting principlesAbility to follow processes and meet deadlinesClear written and verbal communication skills2-3 years of experience in the full A/R and A/P cycle Knowledge of accounting procedures and financial systemsExperience with QuickBooks and Bill.com is a plus Proficient in Microsoft Excel
