Innophos is seeking to hire a Maintenance Mechanic to be responsible for the correction and prevention of downtime of production and support equipment. With guidance they will inspect, take action on failed inspections, and report appropriately to maintenance lead. They will also drive projects to completion and apply technical knowledge to recommend improvements to current and future projects.
Key Responsibilities
Completes assigned WO and inspection to company standards with required guidancePerforms preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities to ensure proper operation and increase lifeListens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and collaborates with other maintenance personnel to diagnose problem or repair machineDismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired partsCleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machineryInstalls and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment with required guidanceDemonstrates management’s commitment to safetyEnsures legal and regulatory compliance in respect of safety, cGMP and quality systemsFollows all environmental, health and safety protocolsProvides support for all safety and environmental initiativesProactively attempts to prevent all accidents and eliminate all unsafe conditionsDrive a company vehicleOperate machinery/forklift as needed
Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent Training in maintenance mechanics, hydraulics, machine shop, and/or electrical controls. Certifications preferred3-5 years maintenance related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Basic understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Knowledge of production machinery repair and maintenanceAbility to operate machine and power tools, forklift, welding equipment, and to distinguish sounds or vibrations for equipment repairCommunication skills and ability to work with other team membersValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordAbility to follow Good Manufacturing Practices including the proper wearing of clean protective clothing, following personal hygiene standards, and adherence to food/drink/tobacco restrictions

Day Shift – 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, Monday – FridaySome weekend and on call overtime requiredPayday is every other week on Fridays
