About the Internship:
Petite Plume’s Merchandising team is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Summer Intern to support long-term projects, competitive market analysis, and seasonal collection preparation. This is an immersive opportunity to gain hands-on experience in luxury merchandising, cross-functional collaboration, and business analytics.
What You Will Do:
- Assist the Director of Merchandising with research on fashion trends, market conditions, and consumer preferences to inform assortment opportunities and pricing strategies.
- Prepare materials for key merchandising meetings, including seasonal production reviews, adoption meetings, and investment reviews.
- Maintain and update merchandising reports and presentations.
- Conduct competitive market analysis as needed.
- Assist with weekly sales reporting as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Design, Sales, Marketing, and Production.
- Support routine deliverables and ad-hoc requests, demonstrating strong time management and problem-solving skills.
Learning Objectives:

Experience You Will Need:
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate in a related field.
- Passion for the luxury fashion industry and an eye for trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work in NYC for the duration of the internship.
- Legally authorized to work in the US.
