Role
Taptap Send relies on hiring the best people to achieve our goals, as a Recruiter, you are a core enabler - you will play a crucial role in our growth and success.
As the sole Recruiter for South East Asia, you’ll own hiring outcomes across the region end to end. You’ll act as the primary recruiting partner to senior hiring managers, bringing deep market knowledge, strong judgment, and a high bar for quality as we scale teams across different Business functions.
This role is about regional ownership: building trust with stakeholders, influencing hiring strategy, and ensuring we consistently hire exceptional talent in complex, competitive markets.
You will be based in Singapore, our latest hub, and should be excited by an in-office working culture when we have the office set up. There may be occasional travel across SEA to meet stakeholders and close senior candidates.
Responsibilities
Own hiring outcomes across South East Asia, acting as the primary recruiting partner for the region
Build deep, trusted relationships with senior hiring managers; influence role design, prioritisation, and hiring decisions
Represent the recruiting function in regional workforce planning and headcount discussions
Own searches end-to-end across Engineering, Product, and other key functions as needed
Design and execute role-specific sourcing strategies, combining outbound headhunting with high-quality inbound
Maintain strong pace without compromising bar; ensure roles move decisively from kickoff to close
Advise on SEA-specific hiring considerations: talent availability, compensation, location trade-offs, and relocation/remote feasibility
Continuously refine our regional hiring approach based on market signals and outcomes
Share insights and best practices with the global recruiting team to raise the overall bar
Uphold exceptional standards for candidate assessment, interview quality, and candidate experience
Define and own regional SLAs and KPIs (speed, quality, funnel health, conversions)
Raise the bar - comfortable saying no, slowing down when needed, and protecting hiring quality at all costs
You’re comfortable challenging assumptions, pushing back when needed, and defending hiring decisions with clarity and conviction
Requirements
Proven experience leading hiring across South East Asia, ideally from Singapore
Strong track record recruiting for technical and/or specialist roles in competitive SEA markets
Demonstrated ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior hiring managers
Deep understanding of regional differences across SEA (e.g. Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand)
Strong sourcing instincts with a bias toward proactive, creative headhunting
Data-literate and outcome-focused; uses metrics to diagnose issues and improve hiring performance
High ownership mindset with resilience in fast-changing, ambiguous environments
Comfortable operating independently while partnering closely with global recruiting leadership
We care far more about judgment, regional expertise, and hiring outcomes than years of experience
