The Senior Associate, Events & Connectivity is responsible for supporting the firm-wide effort to increase and improve colleague connectivity and experience. This role reports to the Director, Events & Connectivity and will be responsible for the support and execution of programs that contribute to a cohesive and positive colleague experience.
The target candidate will be creative and innovative and will have demonstrated capabilities in event planning. They will have a proven ability to develop relationships with individuals in a wide range of organizational roles, and an aptitude to inspire colleagues and teams to participate in firm programs.
Support the planning and execution of five mid-largescale firm events; Including registration logistics, hotel logistics, transportation logistics, event app creation and support
Serve as the CVENT SME for five firm events including registration build out, website/event management, contact updates, and general colleague support
Produce content for internal communication channels and virtual calls to promote and highlight firm connectivity
Run the “Homefront” Inbox, answering colleagues’ questions related to upcoming events and connectivity in a timely manner
Review and synthesize post event survey data and report findings back to Director and SVP, Events & Connectivity
Provide additional event planning support for regional events throughout the year, including service days, giving events and local meet-ups
4-6 years of experience within a professional services environment with at least 2 years of direct event planning experience
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferrable in Hospitality or Event Planning
Must have experience working with CVENT or another similar event management tool
Strong people skills and EQ with a passion for culture
Ability to multi-task, work diligently, provide updates, and execute without direct supervision
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Organized with high attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
Highly skilled in MS Office suite – advanced skills with Outlook, PowerPoint and/or other design software
This role is primarily remote, however, requires the ability to work from the Chicago office as needed and travel occasionally for firm meetings, regional events and the annual retreat
Salary range: $70,000-$85,000, plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs.
