Note: We are hiring for this role at either a Senior Manager ($150K) or Director level ($190K). Placement within these ranges will be based on a candidate’s previous experience in initiative analytics, metrics design, business intelligence proficiency and demonstrated executive communication skills.
The Sr. Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Special Projects is responsible for leading the company’s financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic analysis processes for the company as it relates to special projects and initiatives. This role partners closely with the CFO and executive leadership to provide insights that drive informed decision-making, optimize financial performance, and support long-term business strategy. The Sr. Manager of FP&A Special Projects oversees financial modeling, performance reporting, and cross-functional financial planning initiatives. Reporting to the CFO, the Sr. Manager of FP&A – Special Projects will partner with the CFO and other senior executives to evaluate, prioritize and manage the execution of the critical initiatives that will transform the business model, create a scalable platform and drive profitable growth.
Partner with business leaders to deliver quarterly business reviews to CLT + ELT that explain drivers of performance, assess risks and opportunities to delivering budget/forecast and deliver key actionable insights that shape strategy and support decision making for special projects/initiatives
Lead periodic and ad hoc analysis and performance reviews with business leaders in regards to special projects/initiatives
Own end-to-end financial planning processes and tools (budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning models, reports & processes) for special projects/initiatives
Build and maintain financial models to assess and report financial and experiential metrics
Prepare incremental cost v benefit analyses, scenarios and sensitivity analyses
Financial, strategic and market research support for special projects, including but not limited to new product offerings, channel strategy, strategic partnerships, mergers/acquisitions and FCF optimization
Partner with other departments including accounting, data and technology teams to analyze and execute special projects
Work cross-functionally with all stakeholders to ensure alignment between operational plans and financial forecasts.
Design and manage effective dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards for initiatives
Build processes, systems, and workflows to proactively deliver actionable insights to improve financial outcomes
Act as a strategic and financial partner to leadership team, providing financial guidance to shape roadmap prioritization and resource allocation across the company
Partner with accounting and technology teams to design systems and processes to support the build out of a scalable financial platform to support Chief’s growth
Project manage initiative execution that delivers financial goals including risk mitigation and opportunity execution
Experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Acquisition Diligence or Consulting; SaaS or subscription business, membership and real estate dependent business experience preferred
Proven ability to build financial models, conduct ROI analyses, and synthesize complex data into clear insights
Strong analytical skills; comfortable using databases and analytical tools to make data-based decisions
Excellent communicator with ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
Sound judgement on when to escalate an issue
Ability to influence without direct control; Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills.
Results-driven self-starter with high attention to detail and a bias toward action
Knowledge of business intelligence tools
Strong understanding of financial systems and ERP platforms
Experience with Google apps (Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft apps (excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to transfer between the two seamlessly

The base salaries for this role are:
