Note: We are hiring for this role at either a Senior Manager ($169K) or Director level ($190K). Salary offered will be based on a candidate’s previous experience in cost to serve and multi-unit financial modeling and demonstrated analytic and executive communication skills.
The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for leading the company’s financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic analysis processes for the Customer Experience departments within the company, which includes Concierge, Learning & Development, Community and 5 Clubhouses across the country. This role partners closely with executive leadership to provide insights that drive informed decision-making, optimize financial performance, and support long-term business strategy. The Director of FP&A oversees financial modeling, performance reporting, and cross-functional financial planning initiatives. Reporting to the CFO, the Director of FP&A will create and maintain a member economic model that identifies and quantifies each driver of ‘cost to serve’ with the intention of managing a multiyear variable contribution margin expansion strategy while also expanding retention. In addition he or she will develop ClubHouse 4-Wall profitability reporting and initiatives to improve their profitability.
Partner with Customer Experience business leaders to deliver quarterly business reviews to CLT+ ELT that explain drivers of performance, assess risks and opportunities to delivering
budget/forecast and deliver key actionable insights that shape strategy and support decision making
Lead monthly business reviews with business partners, delivering KPI reporting and insights on performance, risks, and opportunities
Own end-to-end financial planning processes and tools (budgeting, forecasting, long-range
planning models, reports & processes) for business partners
Build and maintain financial models to assess and report financial and experiential metrics and staffing capacity
Prepare incremental cost v benefit analyses, scenarios and sensitivity analyses to support
strategic decisions
Support strategic projects, including new product offerings, experience and retention
improvement ideas, promotions, incentive compensation design
Partner with Accounting to investigate and resolve variances vs. budget as part of month-end close
Work cross-functionally with all stakeholders to ensure alignment between operational plans and financial forecasts.
Partner across key stakeholders on incentive compensation design and implementation to drive alignment with strategic objectives and financial goals (design, launch, processing monthly & quarterly payments)
Design and manage effective dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards
Build processes, systems, and workflows to proactively deliver actionable insights to improve financial outcomes
Act as a strategic and financial partner to Customer Experience leadership, providing financial guidance to shape roadmap prioritization and resource allocation
Lead initiatives to support Customer Experience and Financial strategies with financial insights and operational improvements
Partner with accounting and technology teams to design systems and processes to support the build out of a scalable financial platform to support Chief’s growth
Experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Acquisition Diligence or Consulting; SaaS or subscription business, membership and real estate dependent business experience preferred
Proven ability to build financial models, conduct ROI analyses, and synthesize complex data into clear insights
Strong analytical skills; comfortable using databases and analytical tools to make data-based decisions
Excellent communicator with ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
Sound judgement on when to escalate an issue
Ability to influence without direct control; Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills.
Results-driven self-starter with high attention to detail and a bias toward action
Knowledge of business intelligence tools
Strong understanding of financial systems and ERP platforms
Experience with Google apps (Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft apps (Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to transfer between the two seamlessly
