We’re hiring a full-time Video Editor to support the team behind Alex and Leila Hormozi. This role is primarily focused on long-form video content, distributed across YouTube and other major social platforms, with occasional short-form support as needed.
You’ll turn raw footage into high-impact, retention-driven videos that educate, challenge, and inspire millions across platforms. Working under our Lead Editor and alongside a high-performing media team, you’ll execute world-class edits, apply strong editorial judgment, and help scale content that grows the Hormozi brand.
Edit and deliver polished, high-retention long-form videos for YouTube and other owned platforms on a consistent weekly cadence.
Execute against pre-production outlines, packaging direction, and creative notes from the Lead Editor.
Optimize pacing, structure, and clarity with platform-aware editorial decisions (watch time, session time, retention curves).
Identify issues in footage and proactively surface insights that improve storytelling and production quality.
Apply proven retention tactics and narrative structure across platforms, not just YouTube.
Stay current on platform trends and audience behavior across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, and LinkedIn.
Suggest creative improvements, alternate approaches, and potential risks early in the editing process.
Maintain strict adherence to brand guidelines and editorial standards across all platforms.
Collaborate with short-form editors to repurpose long-form content into platform-native clips when needed.
Use team-provided templates, intros, motion graphics, and brand assets consistently across channels.
Participate in post-mortems and apply learnings to continuously improve performance across platforms.
Assist with basic production needs such as props or simple scene setups.
Offer thoughtful revision feedback when requested.
Monitor channel comments periodically to remove spam and support a healthy viewer environment.
4+ years of professional video editing experience.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; familiarity with After Effects preferred.
Basic motion graphics skills, including color grading and sound mixing, or the ability to rapidly learn and execute brand-aligned visuals.
A portfolio website showcasing your strongest editing work (required).
Strong organization and communication skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
Ability to balance speed, quality, and brand consistency in a deadline-driven environment.
Curiosity and eagerness to test new tools, workflows, and creative approaches.
Strong alignment with Acquisition.com’s values and team culture.
Deliver high-quality long-form edits on time that drive strong retention and watch-time performance.
Support a consistent publishing cadence by helping maintain a backlog of ready-to-publish content.
Contribute to growth goals across platforms, including strong first-30-day velocity and 500K+ view targets where applicable.
Improve team output through clean editing practices, reliable workflows, and consistent execution.
Help deliver educational content that elevates the Hormozi brand and impacts millions.
