About this role :
We are currently looking for our future Vision Systems Engineer to join our Process R&D Team based in the Verkor Innovation Center (VIC) in Grenoble, France.
As such, your role is to prepare prerequisites and provide proper integrated solutions for vision-related projects. This role will work as a team with mechanical, process, and control engineers to research, develop, evaluate, optimize, and deploy various computer vision and deep learning models for different problems.
You are encouraged to think critically and identify potential risks from the engineer's point of view, and tackle practical problems in manufacturing, with a comprehensive understanding of vision systems for hardware, software, interaction with machines, etc.
This job will report to the Automation & Vision Systems Development Manager and should be capable of designing algorithms independently to fulfill tasks allocated. Structured thinking and data sensitivity are compulsory.
Main responsibilities :
Define requirements and specifications of vision system for appointed scenario Take ownership to propose and develop feasible and viable solutions for processes and meet customized requirementsEvaluate feasibility and performance of solution provided by suppliersValidate, optimize and deploy computer vision models as integrated system Report progress and results of vision technology studies to other Verkor departmentsProvide troubleshooting and continuous improvement support for vision systems in production
Requirements :
M.S. in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence or similar disciplineAt least 3 years of working experience on computer vision-related projects. Industrialization experience is mandatory. Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, especially in the battery industry, is preferred.Sufficient experience with vision Engineering design, including lighting, optics design, AOI, triggering, orientation, etc.Hands-on experience configuring and deploying vision systems from ISRA, Cognex, and Keyence is preferred.Deep understanding of computer vision and deep learning algorithmsProficient with at least one machine learning framework such as Tensorflow, Keras and PytorchExperience in training models through GPU computing using NVIDIA CUDA or on cloudAbility to transform research articles into a working solution for real-world problemsStrong experience in feature engineering with image processing algorithmsProficient in Python; experience with C++ is a buffMust have good object-oriented programming & logical analysis skillsStrong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
