Mainframe Senior Systems Programmer
Our client URGENTLY requires a Mainframe Senior Systems Programmer for 12 months + Contract in Darwin.
The Mainframe Senior Systems Programmer will provide a senior technical leadership for the mainframe platform and is responsible for supporting and maintaining the z/OS operating system, associated infrastructure, and supporting software toolsets. You will contribute to the reliable delivery of mainframe services through effective system programming, infrastructure planning, and operational support.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring within the Mainframe Technical Services team.
- Deliver expert system programming support for z/OS and associated products, and lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex incidents and problems.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures, standards and documentation, and provide strategic technical advice to the management on mainframe technologies, industry trends, and infrastructure planning.
- Support the planning, design and implementation of projects and system changes affecting the mainframe environment.
Government experience would be highly advantageous.
