Medical Receptionist - Urgent Care Practice
Staffing for Doctors is seeking a dedicated and efficient Medical Receptionist for an Urgent Care practice. In this fast-paced role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, facilitating a welcoming environment while managing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be able to handle multiple responsibilities with professionalism and compassion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients as they arrive and assist with the check-in process.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring an efficient patient flow.
- Collect and process patient information, including insurance details and payment processing.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Receptionist in an urgent care or similar medical environment.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Please note that this role will start as part-time (25 hours per week) and will transition to full-time after one month.
