Company: Searchable
Salary: £75,000
Location: UK (office-based, London)
Searchable works at the cutting edge of AI-driven search and LLM visibility. We help brands understand and improve how they surface across AI platforms, modern search engines and emerging discovery environments.
This is not traditional SEO. It is category-defining work in a space that is being rewritten in real time. Brand authority, narrative control and visibility across AI surfaces all matter.
We are hiring a Senior SEO Consultant who is both strategic and deeply hands-on. This is not a managerial oversight role. It is senior ownership combined with craft-level execution.
We are looking for the first team member to join the AEO team, to accompany our Head of AEO / SEO as a founding team member in a senior position, covering functions of:
Strategy: Guiding clients (medium to enterprise), understanding strategies, growth, KPIs, roadmaps - identifying gaps in their current strategies against core competitors and providing clear explanations and detailed roadmaps to cover these.
Analysis: Analysing prompts, mentions and citations of businesses - translating these into insights and then building actions on how to capture market share for customers.
Research: Deep, detailed insight into AEO and understanding why / how LLMs favour websites over others, translating this into actionable insights.
Product Specialist: Assist sales on demos with setup of the platform, leading significant parts of these calls and showing potential clients their visibility gaps and highlighting improvements.
Product development: Finding product gaps, translating them into tickets and working with development / engineering teams to build this into the product (with proper due diligence) to understand how these will benefit our customers.
You will work closely with the Head of AEO/SEO, Head of Go To Market and his team and work alongside Product & Engineering to fulfill all parts of your job duties.
You will be expected to take complete ownership of the areas for which you are assigned, exercising autonomy and independence in your duties while holding a level of professionalism and competence with large enterprise clients, consultants and agencies.
To emphasise, this is an AI role - not an SEO role. You will be expected to operate at the forefront of AI and its role in Search. You will take everything you've learnt about SEO and upgrade it to function in an AI-native world. This will only be to your own benefit.
We expect you to bring expert-level knowledge of our industry, using this to drive measurable results for large and important companies. You will be expected to find your lever, understanding AI and using this to your advantage to work faster and smarter.
The Head of AEO will support you with this, but you will be expected to use your own curiosity to find a way of working that works for you.
Strategy & Client Delivery
Owning SEO and AEO strategy for a portfolio of medium to enterprise clients, from audit through to roadmap and ongoing optimisation.
Identifying gaps in client visibility across traditional search and AI surfaces, translating these into prioritised, actionable plans.
Running client calls, QBRs and strategic reviews with confidence and authority.
Building and maintaining clear documentation: roadmaps, recommendations, reporting frameworks and competitive benchmarks.
This is consultative, high-touch work. You will be the primary strategic contact for your accounts and expected to operate with the credibility and rigour that enterprise clients demand. But you will also do the work, and will be expected to learn how to leverage your time and scale upwards.
Analysis & Insight
Analysing how brands, products and topics surface across AI models - tracking prompts, mentions, citations and sentiment.
Translating raw data into clear insight: what's happening, why it matters and what to do about it.
Benchmarking client visibility against competitors across both traditional SERPs and AI-driven discovery environments.
Building repeatable analytical frameworks that can scale across the client base and feed into product development.
You should be as comfortable in a spreadsheet as you are in a strategy deck. The ability to move between data and narrative is essential.
Research & Thought Leadership
Conducting deep research into how LLMs retrieve, rank and surface information - understanding the mechanics behind AI visibility.
Staying ahead of how AI search behaviour is evolving across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and emerging platforms.
Contributing original thinking to Searchable's methodology and knowledge base. Your research will directly shape how we advise clients and build product.
Translating complex AI and search concepts into clear, compelling explanations for clients and internal teams alike.
This is a space where the playbook is being written in real time. Your curiosity and depth of understanding will be a competitive advantage - for you and for us.
Product & Platform
Supporting sales and go-to-market by leading platform demos, setting up client environments and showcasing visibility gaps to prospective customers.
Identifying product gaps through your day-to-day client work and translating them into well-scoped tickets for engineering.
Working closely with Product and Engineering to ensure new features solve real client problems, with proper due diligence on use cases and expected outcomes.
Acting as the bridge between what clients need and what the platform delivers.
You don't need to be technical, but you need to understand how product decisions affect client outcomes and communicate that clearly.
4–7+ years in SEO (AEO experience is a big plus), with strong foundations across content, technical and strategy.
Experienced working directly with clients at a senior level - you've led accounts, run calls and owned delivery.
Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to extract meaning from data and present it with clarity.
A confident communicator - written and verbal - who can operate credibly with senior stakeholders, founders and C-suite contacts.
Genuinely curious about AI, LLMs and the future of search. You're already paying attention to how this space is shifting.
Comfortable with ambiguity and pace. This is an early-stage team in a category that's being defined. You do well in that environment because of the uncertainty, not despite it.
Hands-on by nature. You don't see execution as beneath you - you see it as the craft.
Our stack: We use Figma, Notion and AI-driven tools like Claude heavily across the business. You will be supported, but expected to learn these tools quickly, use AI to scale your workflow, pull data autonomously.
Most importantly, you are multi-skilled and serious about your craft. You are as comfortable building a strategy roadmap as you are pulling apart prompt data, running a client call and writing a product ticket.
Be the first hire into the AEO team, shaping how this function operates from the ground up alongside the Head of AEO/SEO.
Work at the edge of AI and search - building expertise that will define the next decade of this industry.
Have direct influence on product direction. What you learn from clients will shape what we build.
Represent Searchable to enterprise clients, agencies and consultants with the professionalism and depth that the brand demands.
Be rewarded well for senior, hands-on work.
You will work with people that will have a real impact on your career.
Salary: £75,000
Location: Onsite, London offices, 5 days a week - working to a 9-9-6 hours model.
