Working within our Data Platform & Infrastructure team, Chartis is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, high-impact initiatives across the data platform and product portfolio. This role is intended for a highly experienced project leader who can independently own delivery, align senior stakeholders, and drive execution across engineering, analytics, and product teams.
This is a senior, highly autonomous role with significant visibility and influence. The Technical Program Manager will operate as a trusted partner to data engineering and product leadership, ensuring initiatives are delivered with rigor, clarity, and executive-ready communication. You should have a deep familiarity with technical concepts and systems design and be able to weigh the technical risks and benefits of impactful business decisions. You are a doer who is comfortable operating in small, early-stage teams where everyone is hands-on.
Lead complex data platform and infrastructure initiatives end to end, owning scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and delivery outcomes across multiple workstreams.
Drive alignment among senior technical and business stakeholders, translating complex technical efforts into clear plans, tradeoffs, and decisions.
Partner closely with data engineering, product engineering, and consulting leaders to inform scoping, sequencing, and delivery based on technical constraints and priorities, escalating and facilitating decisions as needed.
Outline process maps that clearly illustrate the risks, dependencies, resourcing challenges, and testing needs required for end-to-end solution development and deployment.
Develop and maintain executive-ready artifacts including roadmaps, project plans, status updates, and risk assessments, with a high bar for clarity and polish.
Establish and evolve project management practices that improve delivery predictability, transparency, and cross-team coordination.
Enable delivery teams by removing blockers and improving operating cadence, rather than managing day-to-day task execution.
Mentor junior project or program managers, as applicable, and contribute to the maturity of the broader delivery function.
8–12+ years of experience in technical project or program management roles, with substantial exposure to data platforms, product, or infrastructure initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex, cross-functional initiatives with minimal oversight.
Strong technical fluency in modern data and infrastructure ecosystems, including cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure), data pipelines, analytics tooling, and BI environments (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Python-based pipelines, Tableau).
Proven experience partnering with data engineering, product engineering, and platform teams to inform scope, sequencing, and delivery plans.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce polished, executive-ready materials and synthesize complex technical topics for non-technical audiences.
